In his Name

Yehoshua or Jesus apparel

Let's start with the fundamental knowledge that enables us to understand the name Yehoshua. This unique name of God (one of several, but the most important) represents salvation.Only with this knowledge can we detect Jesus' Hebrew name throughout the Old Testament. Jesus would have been known to His followers as Yehoshua. They would also refer to Yehoshua HaMashiach as "Jesus Christ" instead (Messiah).

God named His Son in a way that reflected both who He is and the purpose for which he was coming to earth. The meaning of the name Jesus is "Jesus Saves" or "The Lord of Salvation."

Matthew 1:21, "And she will bring forth a son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”.

The name is not a common name; there is power in his name, according to Philippians 2:9-11. The name of Jesus Christ is a powerful name that is above every other name. The name has the potency of giving Christians whatever they need on earth.

And according to (Col. 3:17), it is praying in Jesus' name that I want to bring to the forefront. Jesus has invited, urged, and commanded us to pray in his name and has promised incredible results.

Now When Jesus was alive, did they call him Jesus? Remember, these people spoke Hebrew, with A Hebrew tongue. Did they call him Jesus? Well, how? When the J sound  did not exist in the Hebrew alphabet,

Let's study

Let's have a study; remember, every proof text is biblical, no other book will be used; and I asked that you just don't believe this lesson. We always encourage you to read and study for yourself. Hey, could we be wrong? Now, as you can see from the picture, you can form a word. How can you create the word if the sound does not exist? It's primary phonics. So the question is, what was the original name, and how did we get to the name Jesus?

You see, Yehoshua is a proposed transliteration of ישוע‎, the original Hebrew name of Jesus. The pronunciation of Jesus is phonetically impossible in the original Hebrew. It has no support in archeological findings, such as the Dead Sea scrolls or inscriptions, nor in rabbinical texts as a form of Joshua.

The English Jesus is a transliteration of the Greek Ἰησοῦς or Iēsoûs. In translations of the Hebrew Bible into Ancient Greek, Iēsoûs was used to represent the Hebrew/Aramaic name Yeshua, a derivation of the earlier Hebrew Yehoshua, or Joshua. Both names mean "Yah saves." As a result, it is a commonly accepted fact within academia that Jesus' native Hebrew or Aramaic name was Yeshua .Now, does that mean if I don’t use the proper name, there is no power, and the FATHER IGNORE MY CALL, WELL CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING POINT.

Who changed our language? Who initiated the multiple tongues of speech? Was it me or you? Some 7xgreat grandparents? No

It was God, remember?

According to Genesis 11:1-9

11 And the whole earth was of one language, and one speech. And as they journeyed from the east, it came to pass that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there. And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had them for mortar. And they said, Go to, let us build a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men built.6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined doing.7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language that they may not understand one another's speech. So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the world.

So we would ask ourselves if God, all-knowing and understanding, would anticipate the slurring or mispronunciation of Christ’s name that they knew who was coming and know it would call different pronunciations of Christ’s name. So why would he cause the “sin” and condemn you for the sin/it makes no sense. They are power in his name the intent call it praises it in the tongue you understand the all-knowing always hears and understands

And finally, we only receive the pricey gift of eternal life in Jesus' name. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God," according to 1 John 5:13, so that you may know that you have eternal life.
